white squirrel

Has anyone ever seen a white squirrel before, I have one living in my backyard. I have never seen one before, Im guessing it is a alpino. It sure is a pretty site.

I've seen two in the past, though it's been a while. Very unusual.

A white one I have never seen one I have heard of them. Do you have some pics I would like to see it. :eek: :D I have seen blacks greys & reds. The black one are far & few down here. But I have seen them. My bother lived in Akron many years ago & they were all over the place up there. A white one thats cool.:) I hope some one has a pic they can post.

If it was, it was the biggest rat i have ever seen running up a tree.

(white) grey squirrels are somewhat common in urban areas such as Columbus where I live. I hunt a small woodlot just South of Columbus where there were two white squirrels (seeing both at once). One day I was deer hunting (bow) in a ground blind and ... now there is only one white squirrel in the woodlot and I have a conversation piece in my freezer!:p

I've hunted this area all my life and have never seen a black much less a true albino squirrel! Surely a rarity in these parts! Put up a feeder for this winter with corn and nuts.....that should keep him around for a long time:) ......TF
