I just bought the stuff from radio shack to build the El cheap-o call on Varmint Al's website. Has anyone used these, what's your take on them? Also do you know of any other websites to download free mp3's

I've put together the call from the instructions and it seems to work well. I just haven't had any responses from the yotes. I've only been out a couple times with this call just to get in a quick sunset hunt. So, I haven't really put in more than 2 hours of hunting.

Thanks for the links guys, that's what I was looking for.
Nimrod, do you think your's sounds clear? I think mine sounds a little distorted when I turn it up. I think it may not have enough power. Amp is 200mW (16ohms) and speaker is 25w (8ohms). I think it sounds best when I use 1/4 volume on the amp and use the ipod to get the rest of the volume I need

Yes Hangtownz it does start to sound terrible at higher volume settings. I do use the suggested 50 watt speaker & amp and I really don't use much volume because I don't want the sound to be un-realistically blasting. I just set it to where the sounds are just abit louder than a real rabbit, turkey, etc. I also hunt mostly wooded areas with deep ravines and feel the sound does travel well down the ravines but of course not as well over the ridgetops. If I hunted open flat grounds I may tend to want a higher volume but I feel my homemade, under $80 call serves my purposes. Good Luck!!!

If your amp is 16 ohm output signal, one 8 ohm speaker don't get it.
