Hey my name's Bill. I just moved back to Akron from NJ, I was born in Ravenna but grew up fishing saltwater and want to get back into the freshwater again. I know about the booming steelhead up north around Cleveland but have heard that there may be steelies in the Lower Cuyahoga around Cascade Valley and Gorge Metro Parks. I'm dying to know if theres any truth to that or if anyone fishes up in there. Also the DNR site says there are rainbows in the Portage Lakes, has anyone caught one is that true or is it speculation? One more thing the bass back east would start going on the spawn around May and into June is it the same scenerio here? Oh yeah I almost forgot I live up the hill from Summit Lake, it doesnt look very promising, but I have seen tons of sunnies following what I assume were spawning carp, does anyone know if theres bass or pickerel in there? I've seen bass cruising up the Towpath all the way up to the Goodrich Plant right before downtown, that being the best area I've seen, with nice chuky 2 to 4 pounders chasing the bluegills around.

Yeah thats where its at I guess I talked with Greg Senyo from JagFly he said theres a chance and an eye should be kept on it once the last few damns are gone. Good luck over the weekend though the striper guys back east all think Pulaski is the spot little do they know....Thanks all its good to be back!
