Newbie Question

A couple of questions, if you please. First, what are some good training courses for retrievers? I am already into the first month of sit, stay, heel come, etc.., but would like to get opinions on the next course of action. Second, where does one go to buy training birds, without decimating the local sparrow or starling population? I have heard pigeons work best, but I am unsure where to start looking for these. Thanks you, and ALL responses are appreciated. And, like it has been said, the only dumb question is one that isn't asked.

So what kind of retriever is this...and what game are you intending to hunt.;)

She's a Golden Retriever, and mainly upland birds, pheasant, timberdoodles, that sort of game. If I could train her for water, may try my hand at ducks, but I never have hunted waterfowl.:o
