Nice shed.

I'm still looking :) I have been told best places to look is at fence crossings and creek crossings as well. With most of the sheds so far most seem to be in fields :) . Where do you guys find the majority of them ?

Howdy, I'm a shed hunting addict and have been looking hard since late Jan. I jumped a batch of bucks and does of nearly 20 deer and they were flanked by a 130ish 9 pt. He was the biggest of the 4 bucks and that was Jan. 21, and of the 14 does in the group 5 or 6 had tarsals as black as coal. So to start my reply to your answer would be where the bucks are yarded up or batched back together at. I'm fanatical about picking up drops without the chew marks so I try to pickem up BEFORE they hit the ground.LOL. I probably have pushed some bucks out of some drop zones because I am overly eager! I scan the fields first then hit the field edges next and then the trails leading to the bedding areas 3rd. Then the bedding areas are my last searching spot. I do this over and over trying to be as stealth as possible. There is a risk of bumping them out but picking up a shed with blood around the wax ring is the ultimate feat no matter how small the shed is. Fence crossing, ditches, creek crossings, pinch points and cedar and pine thickets are truly the best locations to find our boney treasures, BUT, the bucks have to BE there first. Also, don't give up just yet, there are plenty of bucks still carrying and I remember walking a park inside Cincy's 275 outerbelt and jumped a monster 160 plus with 5 or 6 other bucks on Mar. 22 and they were still showing some active breeding signals. I've never seen a bald buck breed a doe, so if the doe numbers are high, you might still have antlered bucks still running. Find the fresh grenade shaped droppings and big tracks and you probably found a bucks hangout. GOODLUCK! I hope I helped.
