Boy, I've been to about all the Wal Marts in NE OH and outdoors stores and the ammo shelves are empty. But they have put up new price stickers and they are up and up and away!

where has all the hunting stuff gone in Walmarts, they stock almost nothing now. no gun sales, no bows or crossbows. just some scent and minimal camo and the orange plugs. All sportsman should make boycott obvious.

Wally World had some lawsuits over kids managing to snag a bb gun off the shelf and bbs and start shooting people in the stores.

It's all in peoples closets.. And in the Millions and Millions of new gun owners homes... Last check Ruger was backordered 89 million dollars on Guns.. Sales of shotguns and bolt actions have slightly fallen so it's safe to say Ruger is backordered on pistols and Mini xx rifles

Seems to be like this all over the place not just here. A couple friends of mine one lives in Florida and the other in Georgia have been seeing the same thing. So I think it is all across the nation. I think the rapid buying of guns and ammo after and just before the election cough the manufacturers off guard. Look at the ammo selling websites and you will find alot of OUT OF STOCK. Look at guns and most are out of stock and on back order. Ammo and gun prices are going up to from what I have seen so far. As far as Wal-Mart selling bows and guns, they finally have decided to stop selling them in all their stores now.

I came back from the Gun Show with sticker shock last weekend and decided to hit up walmart this week in SW ohio. They are all as you describe, empty with the exception for some shotgun and 22 shells. The night sporting goods manager told me he is getting 5-10 calls an evening to see what came in on the nightly truck. The last handgun ammo they got in a few days ago at his store sold to 3 gentleman who were waiting at the counter when he rolled it out of the back room. He said back in October they couldn't find a place to put all the ammo they had and now they can't keep the shelves stocked. He said they are getting some on almost every truck but not enough to keep up with the demand by far. I hope they are working 3 shifts at the ammo factories :)

Gander is wiped out except for a few boxes of 45.

Millers in Sugarcreek had quite a bit except for very little 38. I bought 3 boxes of 45 there last weekend.

I am sure none of you smoke so this wont affect you. Hidden in the Obama stimulus bill is at least one new excise tax, $7 a carton on cigarettes. the cig manufacturers just raised prices $10 a carton before that excise tax.
We may be in for a huge surprise in an excise tax on guns and and ammo.
and I wonder what else he has to pay for his wreckless spending. If your congressman voted for the stimulus bill, vote him out of Office.
