View Full Version : 2008 OH Buck Mount

Well, I got the call I've been waiting for. I answered the phone to find out my buck was ready for pick up. The only problem: I am living in a hotel room in Pittsburgh until I can find a house. No big deal; I took my buck through the lobby into the elevator to my room. Took down the picture on the wall in front of the TV and now my buck is on the wall. Problem solved:D.

Not the best pictures yet as this is not his final place but at least I get to see him when I get to my room after work.

BTW, this is my 2008 Athens county buck I shot on my last day and last hour of my 6 day hunting trip to Ohio that included Noble and Athens counties.

The work was done by Carl Wurm taxidermy of Pittsburgh in a full sneak position.

All I can say is the House Keeping Lady is going to FREAK :yikes: tomorrow morning when she walks in!!!! :D
Seriously, very nice deer as well as the workmenship on the mount. Something you should be very proud of.
My very first buck mount was a sneak as well. I enjoy looking at it each day.

That's funny there. I thought the same thing when I first hung it. I was like "I hope the housekeeper doesn't get a heart attack when she opens the door and she finds a deer coming out of the wall staring right at her":D:D:D. Thanks for the comments.

You got to let us all know what happens, inquiring minds want to know.
Hang the sign on the door "Do not destrub" and add "The Deer" on it. :D:D

Looks great, man. The scar (looks like a scar anyway) in front of his left eye is very cool... adds good character to the mount. Good luck with the house keepers :D

I just noticed it in the picture. I'll have to check it out. I don't recall seeing the scar.

Better hope the housekeep's husband is not a hunter, it maybe gone when you get back! :D

When I was walking with the deer to my room, one of the maintainance guys told me that if his coworker, a die hard hunter, would have seen me with the deer, I could have got shot right in the hotel lobby:D:D.

Did not know it was "benehunter season" in Pittsburgh! :D
Now see if you were staying in Ohio the people here would slap you on the back, give you a congrat's and want to talk about hunting. :D
