Im interesting in the CZ 527 carbine in .223rem. I have no experances with this brand and was wondering if it was worth $550. Thanks guys.

CZ has been in business dating to the 1940's? did make world class motorcycles at one time.

I really enjoy the fit and finish of there handguns. CZ 75 is a great gun.

The $550 price is for new and its seems darn good compared to ableammos.com price. As some of you guys know I prefer carbines and guide guns over the full sized models and the little CZ caught my eye.

Interesting...here's dealer cost prices.....with FFL....from 1 dealer only.New!

In other words...what the retailer pays for it....and these vary by wholesaler...but it's a ballpark number per model. Then they'll mark it up to sell to the consumer. Mark up varies by retailer and model/make of gun, but it is generally 10-25% per gun.

The only thing I have been able to find that would be a negative of CZ with out having held or shot one is the fact that it will not accept standard weaver scope rings. This is not a deal breaker but more of a pet peeve of mine. I am definetly going to look further in to the rifle.

Have you handled one? The magazine sticks out right where I like to carry a rifle. Not a huge deal, just something I don't care for personally.

Other then that they are nice guns, I wish they'd make the LH .223 with a Mannlicher stock.

I dont usualy carry a rifle that way, so it shouldnt be a problem plus the magazine is pretty much the as my .308 ruger frontier scout rifle. Which I modified to feed out of a 10 round M1a/M14 box clip and feed it from the top with stripper clips.

You can get 3 round clips that flush fit also.

I just bought one in a LH 204 Ruger. I got the standard American model.

I like the magazine, and the set trigger. I also like the weight of the rifle, and the feel of the rifle. I will be using it for my barn yard ground hog rig with the 32 grain bullet.

The price you quoted is a real bargain. You better buy it quick, before it goes away. Tom.
