Pheasant stockings

Just in case anyone is curious, or hadn't noticed.

Since the youth deer gun season falls on one of the traditional weekends for pheasant releases there will not be birds released that weekend. When I spoke with the ODNR last week they had not decided what they were going to do with the birds yet. The thoughts were to split them over the other stockings or add a December weekend. If I find out what the plan is I'll post it.

Let me know when you're going this way for Grouse. Maybe we can get together for some birds. :D

They used to have the stockings on their website, but I can't find anything this year.

They posted it as a news release but it wasn't correct. They messed up the release and forgot about the youth deer hunts. What they decided to do was take the birds that would have been released this weekend and split them over the other 3 releases. Should make for slightly improved hunting next Friday.
