Weights on Steelhead Rigs

Is there a minimum distance a splitshot must be placed above the hook of an egg/mesh bag rig in Ohio? I understand that other states require at least four feet if I heard correctly. I've been scanning the Ohio DNR site to try to find this myself but I can't seem to find any info on it. As I try steelheading for the first time, I want to be legal. Thanks in advance and thanks again to everyone on this site who was given me so much steelhead info already.

I've not seen anything like that. That's probably something that was put in for other states that have more problems with snagging and salmon fishing.
