2009 deer camp

well we still gonna do deer camp the 1st week of november? i gotta put in for vacation this week. so i just want to make sure i put in for the right week. phil

actually all my hunting at deer camp or almost all was with wendy sue...i left my bow back at camp...and i enjoyed that just as much if not more...:D

Coonie - i think ya need a change of scenery - come up here to the flats lands - ya can camp at muh place - and drive around and see if ya can get any permission to hunt - scout the public hunting lands - and look for a big boy - i got a nice spot fo ya ta camp - nice pond wif fish - sum shade trees - it would give ya a whole different outlook on life and deer huntin

PPS - oh yeah - Wendy Sue welcome to and there is a state wildlife area 5 minutes away wif a nice archery range and ya can hunt der tooz

those deer weren't that impressive ...you all seen tht"carr bailey" buck posted on here and that deer was on our deer camp(wn) area:D...thats just a mile from squaller holler...:Ddeer camp(wn) is in the perfect location...its the next best thing to being in the mountains...lots of land,all forested(no pastures or cows)...and hunt from a base camp (tents/cooking over campfire)with a small lake teaming with fish...in the middle of thousands of acres to hunt...miles of woods!!!:biggrin:

Gotta say, Last year was the first time I hunted with coonie, Phil, bigfoot (yes this name is gonna stick Ron) Carson and Wendy. Yep... I had a blast. The WN deer camp was great... lots of laughs great hunting and great people. I was mostly impressed that i did not see many people. You really get to see deer act the way they normally would without being pushed on you or away from you by another hunter. If you do your homework right you will see deer. I have hunted there one year and am hooked on the place... I will definitely be there again this year.

Hey Cajun, glad to see you got a short break from work and family, to stop by. Yeh, BigFoot is going to stick with Ron. I call him that a couple times a week. He is setting up an email addy and I told him to use some form of BigFoot in his E name!! He also talks about The Wayne and his experience there, a lot. Can't wait to get back out.

Glad you had a good time at camp.. Doubt if it could get much better than last year. Maybe a few bigger deer and a couple less mishaps, but that is hunting. Thanks for all the laughs (and breakfast)

i have really been seeing a LOT of sign this year...i will be down again this weekend...added a very good ridge(2 stand sights but its out aways}...i may get a game cart this year to make those haul outs easier especially during gun season when we mostly go out farther...hope to see everybuddy soon...:D
