Minker: Thanks for keeping us posted on the trapping stuff. That's something that has always intriqued me, but have never been able to give it the time. I love reading about it & the challenges you go though. One of my greatest regrets in life is that I played basketball instead of learning to trap & running the legs off the fantastic beagle I had at home at the time. :( :o

theses upcoming regional trappers meets would be great places for you to learn about trapping. you can take a trappers training course off the ohio div. of wildlifes website online. there are also trappers workshops at different wildlife areas coming up on november 1 & 2 . these are free , you will go out with experianced trappers on state wildlife areas before season with special permission from the d.n.r. , and learn first hand how to trap. traps are set on saturday for various animals , checked sunday, then you will be shown how to handle and process the animals pelts . its a great way to learn . info on the the trappers workshops can be found on the osta website and in the ohio hunting and trapping regulations that you get when you buy a lisence. mark
