Ohio Deer & Turkey Expo 2009

I was just looking at the website. A special "alley" for traditional archers, cool! Also, looks like a good seminar on decoying with Gary Clancy. I will be checking it out this year and hope to meet some of you guys I have yet to meet face to face. Oh, they also have a trail cam contest, have they had that in the past or this the first year for that. I knew they had a wildlife photo contest in the past. This is the first I have heard of the trail cam photo contest.

Check with BEC, they had some sweet photo mats last year with the BEC logo. Not sure where they would have acquired those.

Sure. I'll probably wear my OS hat :D You can order Ohiosportsman.com hats and shirts and stuff. Go to OS home page...upper left. You can even get them customized. The hats are quality I'll testify to that.

I've been thinking about taking my mount from last year down there for the scoring area. I know my big deer from this year wont be done from the taxidermy yet so it will have to wait till next year. I might wait to and take both in next year.

I've always loved to look at all the big bucks down there. I actually am reserved about taking my deer down there due to the fact they wont look as big to me any more with all the monster bucks that are there. at least at my house on the wall they are huge....:biggrin:

The Ohio D+T Expo is a great show, the only problem is the space. It has waaaay too many people in too little of a building. I wish they would open up the Celest Center across the street to the expo, that way there would be more breathing room. If I go it will definetly be on Friday Night. If they release trout at Wolf Run that weekend, I guess I'll have to catch it next year, Oh well I got my expo in for the year anyhow. Holmes County Sportsman Show was awsome!!!

I was thinking after we attend, we could comment on what new item grabbed our curiosity. Coolest new idea! I sure hope the "Butt-out" tool doesn't grab all the attention. It may be a great new idea, but it has been covered here.

trad. archery products seem to be less and less each year...i'm not sure how to take this ,several years back they had a lot of stuff...books,arrows,older collector bows,arrow building supplys and string material...about half the bowyers now than there were...took a lot out of it for me...why the decline there is beyond me...:D

I know one guy that will be at this show that makes beautiful traditional bows. Striker Bows are made by one of my friends dad, and they are beautiful. I can't wait to go there and shoot one.
