We had a light frost here in Hilliard last night if that doesn't get you going than nothing will. I hope it stays like that until Monday, thats the first day I get to go out to hunt. Hopefully it killed the mosquitoes. Good luck everyone. Be sure to post how you do this weekend so I have something to read at work Saturday and Sunday.

I agree with chopiq. I think that this cool weather is the best ting that could possibly happen to us around opening day. It really gets me going too. I hope is sticks around for opening weekend!
Good to meet you at Wick's on Saturday chopiq.

Sorry to hear that you will not be out Saturday. I will be leaving Friday at 11 am to go to Morgan County. Then if all goes well I wont be back until late Tuesday night. So I wont be near a puter... which is a good thing if it means I am outdoors camping.
Guess I better take a couple extra blankets;)

Nut,
You hunting AEP land or private in Morgan County?
I know a farmer on SR 78 about 5 miles out of McConnelsville that allows hunting on his farm. Last week we saw 6 nice bucks in his field smallest was an 8 point with about 17" spread the others lets just say "a lot bigger"! His place is on the south side of SR 78 and he wants every deer in the county killed, (crop damage).
Good Luck!
10gauge...I will be camping at Wolf Creek WMA and hunting both there and some private land. In fact the wife and oldest son left today to set up camp. If ya know the guy I could help out some.:D ;)

I'm traveling the next couple of days (trade show in columbus) call my cell phone at 937-470-2888 in the AM and I'll give you his name and exact location, he has a small cattle operation and good patch of woods the deer travel thru to get into his alfalfa fields. He's a good guy but can't hear too well, he's 89 years old, but works that farm everyday like a teenager!

Hey 10 guage, I hunt right off 78 at AEP property about 40 days a year. I would be intrested in knowing where you are talkin about. Is it east or west of McConnelsville?
You can PM me and I'll get back with you or would you prefer a call? I live in Coulmbus.

We had a real heavy frost this morning (Friday). It is supposed to thunderstorm here late tonight and into tomorrow morning. Won't that be nice. I am planning on being in my treestand regardless. Good luck to everyone.

I have seen lots of big buck sign. If I see one it will make it all worth while. The peace and quiet will be a blessing as well.
Good luck
