thinking about coming up from Dayton on weds. the 28th. Wondering on a scale 1 to 10 how is the ice conditions. Will be going out by my self unless I can find someone to partner up with. Reply or p.m. to stampman. Fishing for 2 to 4 days depending. Thanks

Ice was Very Good Today at Catawba,People were going just about any where.I would give it a 9.....12inches where we fished.Roads all over out there off catawba.

This is the best ice in many years.Around Catawba the ice is very good,easy to get around the shoves and only one small crack,after that its flat in most directions.That's why it's so crowded,the other accesses aren't as good.

i agree if you go u better get there early the parking is crazy at catawba state park
