Coonskinner I worked thirty years as a electrical lineman and at the same time got into the sawmill logging business and still do that to this day. The only thing I know is work and probably will do it till they put me in the ground. Line work was great but I was pretty burned out , not from climbing poles but the B.S. from the union and management. Logging I get up at five , eat breakfast and go to work if I am in the mood and I never come home up set. Here a while back I remember you asking about turkey hunting camp when you retire that sounds like a great idea maybe even move into deer hunts. Putting in food plots and up grading the property should keep you busy, at least it sounds like a great plan. Better then setting on the couch watching a ball game !

If your afraid to lose some good spots that you have now maybe you would be able to lease them and then add them to your hunting property. Goodluck Bill :bouncy:

I haven't been there or done that yet coonie but it is something to think about and plan for as we near that age and time in our life. We are like fine wine, better with age :D

You really need to lay down some concrete plans if you're serious about what you want to do. If you have vested near your maximum retirement wise, then yes I would consider retirement and then "working" at something different. 25-30 years of the 7 to 5 jobs tend to wear on a person.

With your money, I would consider a financial planner :p ;) . Find someone you are comfortable with. If you want I can recommend one in Dublin/Columbus area. They can be as involved as you need/want them to be to help you map out a plan. Two years go by very quickly!

Happy planning and a happier retirement George :D :)
