Anyone ever heard of or used their products? Salesman at Sportsmans Den was trying to sell me a scope by them and stated that they used the same lense coating as Leupold. I found that hard to believe knowing how tight lipped Leupold is about their coatings, but I could be wrong. Anyone know?

when i bought my rifle for an elk hunt the salesman at vances was pushing the sightron scopes pretty hard.
i didn't think that the optics looked as clear as the leupold.their warranty seems like a good one but i decided on the leupold vxII 3x9x40 and after sighting the rifle in i'm real happy with it.

Yeah, the lifetime "over the counter replacement" warrenty on them is pretty good, but I'm real hesitant when it comes to going to a brand I've never heard of before. I checked out their website (http://www.sightron.com) and they have a pretty slick windage and elevation adjustment system. I've never had a problem with any of my Leupolds shifting, so I don't see myself converting to Sightron anytime soon. :D

From what I've read about them, they seem to be a very well made scope!! Problem is, I'm a Leupold man as well!!;)

I've not owned one, but I have heard a lot of good about the Sightron scopes. Most all scopes these days are good, but the ones that are great your spending a lot more $ for a little more quality. Is it worth it? That is something your wallet will have to decide. Personally, I favor Burris, & Swift scopes.
The adage these days is "buy the best you can afford'' & "it's no sin to spend more on a scope that the rifle"

MrFurious, I purchased a Ruger Mini-14. Everyone says that you must have a good scope on them because they are bad to destroy a scope. After shopping around, I bought a Sightron
3X9X40 Mil-Dot. I have had no trouble at all. In fact, I bought the same scope for my Ruger 77 22-250. Both scopes have given me good service and are very clear. The main selling point for me was the "LIFETIME UNCONDITIONAL GUARENTEE" . Give them a try, I'm sure you will be satisfied.
good look, and good hunting, terry
