Utah is 72 million acres in size and is close to 72% public land.

The trick is getting a tag in a trophy public area... Good luck with that.. Trophies are a highly coveted resource to Utah i guess. If you want to go with a guide on private land the price can be from 3,000 -15,000 dollars tag included no drawing necessary.

there's alot of great public land hunting out west.when we were hunting in n.w. colorado several year ago we saw alot of elk,mulies and pronghorn.
any of you guys that have never hunted out west really owe it to yourself to go at least once.

thats whats so good about elk huntin for the most part...its huntin in its truest form in very remote wild areas...its just you an your bow against the elk...:D definately a great elk here...:biggrin:
