buying a hunting license

Can you buy a Ohio hunting licence over the counter or do you have to mail in a application. Also can a licence be bought on a Saturday.

for a resident licence you can buy anytime over the counter .im sure non resident you can too but not real sure.

Where do you buy them Wal-Mart, K-Mart, etc.

Have some buddies that come up from KY each year. You can buy 'em over the counter at any 24hour Wally Mart any day or any sporting goods shop.

You can buy Your Lic. at any store that has Comp. Lic. set-up. Bring your old State hunting Lic. to show that you hunted before. A hunter safety Cert. will work to. Jeff

I've thoght of doing it by mail but I don't know how long it will take to get back. I don't want to send for one in the mail and then it not be here when I leave for Ohio. I also didn't understand the section on deer tags. I've noticed on old applications there was a box for how many deer tags you want. The new application doesn't have that box so do you put the total amount for 2 tags or do you fill out a seperate application. I would just rather buy one in the flesh and not have to do one by mail. Thanks for the responces.

One thing you may want to bring along with you is a old hunting licence just in case they ask for one.
Why I am saying this is some states ask for that, I not sure if Ohio is one that ask that.

I have hunted out west and some of them states do ask for it.

You may want to get one the ohio hunting website and e-mail some one asking that before you drive all there way up here.

We have alot of big deer up here so have fun and good luck.

some places only ask if you hunted here before. getting a hunting lis. in ohio is a lot eazyer then mose states.
