For crying out loud he shot 2 trumpeter swans! Glad to see he was reported and that the resitution fine was steep. I think the license ban should stand though.

I have had to control myself before on 2 swans! Had the bead on them man that green neck band makes a good target!!! Always wondered what the thud would be like from 25-30 yards up!!! Actually lookin into N.C. about goin on a swan hunt. Legal to shootem there though.

how in the heck can you mistake swans for geese
hate to take him deer hunting he might mistake a cow for a deer

Was at Magee last year when 2 got shot. It was some time in late October when this happened.

About 12 years ago, a neighbor of my parents let a man hunt on their property. The guy seriously mistook a cow for a deer. He tried to shoot it but missed. Luckily the owner was around and put a stop to it. Needlesss to say, that man was never allowed to hunt the area again. It is people like him that make private owners not let people hunt their land.

your title is wrong critter:mischeif: it should say poacher not hunter. wonder what his excuse was.... a deaf old man complaining about ducks quackin in the middle of the night lol?:yikes:
