2nd Place in Big Buck Contest!

I was fortunate enough to recieve an early Christmas present on Tuesday evening. Went to the Sportsmans Den in Shelby for the scoring of the antlers in the Big Buck contest. They have it broken into four catagories. Adult bow, adult gun, youth bow, and youth gun. When all the people started showing up I truely thought that I didn't have a chance, but I ended up taking second place with a typical score of 161 5/8". 1st place beat me out by 4"'s. Congratulations to the fella. The reward for 2nd place is a $300.00 gift certificate to the Den. :woohoo1: The story was covered in The Mansfield News Journal. What a deer season I have had. It is sure going to be hard to top this one, but I know I will have trying.

Read that yesterday morning at the coffee house, thought that was your deer. Thought it was funny that you adults got beat out by that kid's deer though! Hahaha, some nice racks though.

Yeah the kid that won the youth gun had one heck of a rack!!! Killer drop tine on that deer. I think that I wont have a problem finding a way to improve my equipment and hunting inventory on my own. But thanks for the offer Ernie. :p

Bring it on Kat! A little healthy competition never hurt anybody. And thanks to everybody for the congrats. It sure is nice being able to share things like this with people that have the same appreciation for the sport as I do.
