Me and a friend are wanting to try planting a small food plot along a cpl of the woods we hunt. He farms the ground around the woods and has soil samples done every 2 years. What were looking for is something to border one side of the woods which will be 20-30ft. wide. JUst wondering what would be best to try to plant.

Depends on summer or fall plot, but you cant go wrong with some clover.

I have used several seed mixes from adams briscoe seed company. They are out of Georgia and there Division of wildlife uses them. It has several types of seed that mature at different times of the year. Also I think it nice because it grows taller but not to tall so it gives a false since of security. I don't like large fields that are only 6 inches tall. That's just me though.ABSEED.COM: Adams - Briscoe Seed Company
