Whats the deal...

I have been finding fresh rubs all over one of our properties. I counted more than 20 new rubs all over the place today. Fresh bark on the ground and you could smell deer in the air... literaly. I have not seen this much activity this late. Have you guys seen this very often?

theres still some mating going on so the bucks are still doing their thing...the rut never stops til all bucks lose their antlers...it starts peaks an ends...simple:eek:

2nd rut has been goin on the last week...Probably a hot doe on that property has the bucks there feeling frisky again.

We found some yesterday. I know a few people saw chasing during gun season. I found a rub made within hours of when we were there last night hanging a stand...

yeah the stink was still in the air. I have seen it before but not so much so sudden. I was out on Saturday afternoon and this stuff wasn't there. Sunday afternoon they took some frustration out on alot of trees.

theres only one rut...it goes from appr. late oct. to feb(in my huntin area)...there is no place in between those dates that deer are not breeding somewhere...:D
