Ihope someone in southern ohio has been killing ducks,because i have had no luck this year.:confused:

opening saturday and yessterday we had less than 30 minute 3 man mallard limits. These were the only two days i have hunted and normal years i hunt 3-4 days a week. i am spending 3 days scouting to one day hunting to get quality hunts. just have to hit the road and find the birds they are here. Just few and far between. had hundreds of ducks pouring in on a small pothole. could have shot a ten man limit

i was out scouting for deer today and found a small pond maybe acre in size that was litereally almost coverd in ducks , its hidden back in a bunch of pine trees , i lost count after 123 they were all over the placeout in the middle of nowhere in egyt valley , the deer like this spot to cause i kicked up 5 does and 2 bucks when i walked around the pond i have hunted this place many times and never knew this pond was there

It was a good hunt indeed. Hopefully we can do the same next Monday.

seen a few this morning but none that came within range. got my gear frying out for later.

will be up there after x mass i have never hunted ducks in ohio only in fla the only water around me is the little muskingum im near rinards mills south of woodsfield ,any suggestions for this area
