Hey all, I had a problem with the spring mechanism that effects the safety and does not allow the string to stay in the cocked position after I pull the string back. I only live about 25 minutes from Horton, so I took a drive today. Customer Service was very nice and willing to help with my problem as it is a manufacturing problem and not due to anything that I would have done to damage the bow(Hunter Supreme). I was just wondering how long it took your bows to get serviced if any of you had to take it to Horton. I'm expecting anywhere from a few days to a few weeks as the woman was uncertain as to the time.
Thanks in advance for any comments you have regarding your experience with Horton service!
never had an issue with my yukon, you may be an exception (in terms of needing help).

I took my horton supermag in yesterday for a new mount; the lady said u can get them at places cheaper and than she looked at the bow and was like u need new cables, wheels, and string. She told me 5-7days when it will b done. But they nice and friendly.

My dad bought a rechargeable battery crossbow cocker about 15 years ago. He found it in his basement and gave it to me. I sent Horton an email asking for directions as to how it worked. Within days I received a huge envelope in the mail with everything imaginable as to directions. Great service...............

thats very important...an sadly i know of some recurve makers(woan mention names) that doan like fixin their mistakes...i remember one that made the wrong limbs for a bow...length was right but he got bamboo stead of...uhhhh i'm not sure what kind...anyway the maker sed bamboo was better an he was stuck with them, doan git me wrong he makes very good performin bows but to me custom means yuh pick out everythang yuh want...an yuh pay for it...an another maker i know didnt take care of bows with flaws that popped up in them...these didnt hurt the bows performance but the looks, which on these bows cost a purty penny...but were basically told the bow still shoots an i ain replacin it,or fixin it...now i ain sayin all are that way but i have seen the actual bows i mention...one guy got so discouraged over his xperience he sold his 800$+ t/d very cheap an went back tuh cp...i doan know what he's shootin tuhday but i bet it aint that fellers bow...this comparison of good an bad is ironic cause your led tuh think it wouldnt be that way...i guess this thread made me think of this...an i am glad to see those that truly offer good service like fred bear did...

I just wanted to thank you all for your comments. I had a great experience with customer service there today, so I hope that it continues with a quick turnaround just as all of your stories included....Coonie, that's too bad about the recurve story. It's a shame that something as expensive and time consuming as creating a true functional work of art could be smeared at the hands of the guy that created it. Customer service truly is a huge factor for me personally, but for the majority as well. There are some outdoor store I will not go to simply because I have to yell or approach someone about getting help rather than having them come to me. I be look like a young guy who doesn't know anything, but businesses lose a potential loyal customer to simple things like this all the time. I think I will be thanking Horton for their customer service in about 2 weeks (I Hope!).
Thanks again guys

I took muh Tenpoints Elete over to the Tenpoint Factory in Suffield, Ohio and they put new strings and cables on it and new cord on the cocking mech and checked the bow over while i waited - took about 30 minutes - very nice people
