a friend of mine was at the breakwall by the lighthouse this past week and got two steelies one around nine lbs and a five lb er he,s a spoon chucker and another fellow had two out by the lighthouse.the recent rains must have got a few to start hanging around the mouth of the river.he stopped at uniroyal and nothing was going on there.so it,s getting close more cooler temps and they,ll be coming up river.

According to the Plain Dealer there's been some caught as far up as Painsville. SOON VERY SOON......

Jack Kiser's Record Courier column this morning claims that they are already being caught in some of the tribs, although I doubt they are there in any great numbers. It's almost here- the fall fishing and hunting seasons! my wife will be lucky to see me twice a week!

With the rain and the cool down coming this weekend it'll get them moving closer. I'd bet Conneaut or PA would even almost be worth a trip when the water comes down.
