Partner and I took 8 geese yesterday in our cow pasture we can hunt. We took all 8 out of one flock. They came in and landed in the dekes. We raised up and right when they hit the air we let them have it. Our first two shots knocked out 5 or 6 because they were so close. Then we picked out the leftovers. All said and done 8 on the ground with one being banded. We got out of the field before anymore came. We didn't want to be greedy and mess up the other two flocks that use it. We'll let it rest and shoot it again one day next week.

IMOH, ducks are better eating, but if fixed right, geese can be tasty as well.

I had some a looonnnnnggggg time ago. If I recall it tasted like roast beef, but the kid who gave me some may have been lying too.
