Pre-Season party

OK, here we go again. Saturday September 27th I am throwing a party at my house. Guys only to get the season started. Bring wild game to throw on the grill and whatever you are drinking. I will have other food on the side. I would like to get some people together and shoot the course in Delaware. About 16 bails in the woods then back to my house late afternoon or back in time for the Buckeye's against Northwestern!!

Everyone who reads these threads and would like to meet new hunters are all welcome.

Mark your calendars! And again, I will get a better idea on time depending on when the game starts and who wants to shoot Delaware.

Hey wick, sorry taking so long getting back to you. Still trying to find out if I can make it or not. My wedding anniversary is that weekend and the wife says she wants to go to the Ohio football game that weekend. ALso my daughter hasto cheerlead that Saturday until noon. Now the wife has changed her mind and wants to go out that night so I'll let you know. If you need help setting up I should be able to help. What time is everything?

I really don't have much to set up other than a cooler of beer and lifting one to my mouth. Thanks for the offer. Would be cool for you to make it anytime you want if you are going to be late. Im bringing some perch fillets for everyone. If I get my dehydrator back before then Ill have some beef and goose jerkey ready. I'll check the freezer as I may have a couple saugeyes to bring. :)

Dont forget Im doing a crappie tourney that morning so I may have some of those as well if Im lucky :) Im all out of my deer meat and things which is why Im bringin the fish. Hope thats okay with everyone. The weigh in is at 2pm on Saturday so I may not get there until 4pm or so. Is there room for me to come with the truck and my 14ft john boat or should I go drop it off at home 1st?

Not only am I ready for the gathering at Wick's house, I am ready to go with this season. We are almost in the single digits here guys and I can't wait any longer. Hoytme and I have our stands ready to go and can't wait. We have some great stand locations this season, I am juiced!

As for the party, I will bring a batch of my special venison jerky for everyone to try. Not to mention a case of Natty Blue!

Thank god we started another page on this threaad, I was getting sick everytime I looked at that pic that caribou put on here. Sorry caribou, but that is one of the nastiest things I have ever seen and I have seen some nasty things!

I havent got the dehydrater down to my house yet (still at my parents) so I wont be having any beef of goose jerkey with me on Saturday. Its a shame because I make the best BBQ jerkey that I have ever tasted if I do say so myself. :D I can make a good hot and spicy and a good standard jerkey but the BBQ just is unreal. If anyone would like them I have 2 boneless (yes and featherless) Goose breast fillets from 2 weeks ago. If anyone is interested I'll bring them Saturday. :)
