Went to Pater Wildlife area in Butler County today to try our luck in the Dove Fields. Lots of doves but some pretty poor shooting on my part. I think I managed to knock down two with two boxes of shells. OUCH!!! Anyway had a great time till the rain ran me off with most everyone else. On a side note I got there today around 11am and the game warden was just leaving after having written several tickets to people who were shooting before the noon start time on public land. Not sure how so many poeple missed the two signs you had to walk past to get to the dove field that said hunting for doves "Noon - Sunset" Oh well guess they learned the hard way.

How did everyone else do?

My boy got 8 doves (took 2 boxes of shells) the first trip.
He only got 1 the second time but I think we had them freaked out, so we've left them alone the last couple days, they look like they're settleing down now, I might even be able to hit 1:D

Guess it depends on the wildlife area for the dove shooting hours. Big Island and Deleware start at Sunrise to Sunset. From what I heard from the DNR, the only two places that are not like that are the two with the draws.
