My rant for the day.
This Browns team is pathetic. It pains me to watch them. They were handed 4 turnovers last night and still managed to find a way to "should have" lose the game. Only a missed 47 yard field goal with a scant 38 seconds left saved their hides from another embarrasing loss. I watched several guys stand around and hope a d lineman would bring down Lynch, only to watch him sprint off another 12-20 yards. This happened repeatedly in the 2nd half. At the end of the game, the Browns last possesion with 2 1/2 minutes left, do they run the ball. Nope. To predictable. They throw a few passes and get the ball down the field some. Ok, now 56 yard field goal try away and do they run the ball, inch it closer maybe get it to a 48 or 50 yarder and milk some time off the clock. Nope, 3 throws and they need a prayer to a take a precosious 2 pt lead with LOTS of time left on the clock. Then, they fail miserably at a squib kick and Buffalo has the ball on the 45 yard line with over a minute in a half. They chose to run the ball on their last series and turned a would-be 54 yrd fg into a makeable 47 yarder. Just dumb luck that Lindell missed it.
I think Lewis was right. This team quits. They quit on their blocks, they quit on their routes, they quit in pursuit of the play, they quit on tackles. What a bunch of failures! The win over NYG proves they can beat anyone in the NFL, but they go on to squander 2 score leads in the 4th quarter and then nearly blow a game that they should have won easily.
I suppose they'll cruise in at 6-10 or 7-9 and say, "well we had a tough schedule so it was a pretty good season". Mularkey! You cant say at the start of the season that you think you are one of the best teams in the NFL and then complain about the schedule. All those teams should be worried about playing you! Nope. They aren't. They all know that they can run the ball up and down the field on this team.

I was wondering about them last nigh also.
There was a few plays, when they seemed to just stand there and watch the runner go by.
And several others, where they wanted to fight with the other players. I thought for sure the refs would have called penalties for unsportsmanlike conduct.
If you don't want to play for your team, go someplace else.
Or let someone take your place that wants to win !
Can someone please point out to the coaching staff that a field goal is 4 points less than a touchdown. It seems like they have it backward. Our best players on the team since the team "came back" have been our punters and kickers. Where would we be without them? And why does every game have to be a stinkin chess match? How about a good old fashioned blowout?

I agree! Shottenheimer or Cowher would be on my short list if I were Phil Savage. It's time for Crennel to go. I don't think he should be fired mid-season, but I don't twant to see him back next year.

Shottenheimer could never win the big game, we should stray away from him. Cowher would be my candidate for choice, but I dont know if he would do that to The Steeler fans, although he was a brown before all that.

Hee hee, that's what they said about Cowher. Shottenheimer has won nearly instantly everywhere he goes. He can and likely will win the big game(if he coaches again). Why not in Cleveland? I would rather see Marty or Bill than stupid Billick or Fassel.

Cleveland Browns
In 1980 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1980), he was hired as the defensive coordinator for the Cleveland Browns (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cleveland_Browns). Schottenheimer became Cleveland's head coach midway through the 1984 season (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1984_NFL_season), replacing fired head coach Sam Rutigliano (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sam_Rutigliano). Schottenheimer would remain with the Browns until 1988 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1988), amassing 44-27 (.620) regular-season record and a 2-4 (.333) mark in the playoffs, including four playoff appearances, three AFC Central (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AFC_Central) Division titles, and two trips to the AFC Championship Game (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AFC_Championship_Game).

Yep, Savage and Crennel are both out. I do believe Savage is a good evaluator or talent. However, he chose Crennel which was obviously a bad hire. He also failed to get anything for DA when his stock was high in last year's off season. Finally, that email incident did him in for sure.
Who's next?
Cowher
Holgren
Pioli
maybe Parcells(has a buyout if Dolphins get sold and that might happen)

The young players seem to be giving up, the vets are still playing hard. I just dont know what to think of them anymore. Always a browns fan though no matter how bad they are.

My wife was watching the game when I got home from work.....I layed down on the couch and went to sleep so I wouldn't hafta watch....I had high hopes for them this season like everyone else and all they did was make me stay up late to wtach em lose in the 4th quarter
They're games were like a bad horror film....You always knew when something bad was gonna happen, but it still scared you when it actually did.

In case you Browns fans didn't notice, you'll be picking ahead of the Bengals in the draft in the spring. That's right, Cleveland nation, the Cincinnati Bengals finished ahead of you in the division! :D
WHO DEY!
(As a Bengals fan, I look for any small victory I can find in another terrible year ;) )

At least the Browns have hope as they are cleaning house. The Bengals have another year of Lewis and the inmates to look forward to! lol

Don't hold out hopes for the best receiver in the draft because Detroit will be picking ahead of the Browns. :mischeif:

Which do you think will happen first:
1. Chris Henry getting arrested, or
2. The Browns scoring an offensive TD
(I know with the off season here Henry will win this with ease :nono: )

Your guys are lucky you don't have to watch the Lions. Actually, lately we don't have to watch the Lions much anymore either as most of their games are blacked out.

What a great motto for Cleveland. "Maybe Next Year?":D
Maybe it's the water up there. Players and coaches leave and then win a Super Bowl ring. Heck the whole team once moved to Baltimore and won.
Oh well, Go Steelers!!!!
