Hey guys. My name is Mike. I am new to this site. I joined to ask you all some advice. I am an avid bowhunter and I want to start to venture outside of PA to bowhunt whitetails. I am tagged out in my state this year. Already shot 2 does and a buck in 4 days of hunting. Was thinking of buying an ohio nonresident deer tag to hunt for a quality buck.

My question is, which counties on the East side of your state offer the best bowhunting land. I have no interest in hunting gun, and plan on bowhunting during my school break as much as I can. I still hunt and stand hunt...Stand hunting is done with a portable stand so I can adjust for wind...I have hunted beaver creek state park before, and was just looking for some advice on which counties are best on your state east side. I want an area where quality bucks are found, not neccesarily a huge deer herd. They don't have to be record book, just solid genetics.

Any help you could give me would be appreciated.

I wanted to know if columbiana county was any good, and i was looking at highlandtown state game lands...
I obviously would need to hunt some public lands since I do not know any landowners in the state.

Thanks for your time, and I hope all your seasons are going well!!:)

PS do any of you have the bowtech guardian...This is my first year with that bow, and I can't believe how quiet it is...It is knockin deer down faster than any bow I have had previously. Also, try some rage 2 blades if you have not yet..I have been able to fit 4 fingers through every entry hole so far...Those broadheads are unreal!
