Made it out for the second time in the fields. Shot this one,should of had 1 more, flushed 4 other roosters (wild birds), funny thing was we did'nt see any hens. This was a mature bird with long spurs but was missing both primary tail feathers.
I believe we had a poor hatch, just not seeing as many bird this year.

I still love to hunt the upland birds....My Son and I will be out doing just that on December 27th. He doesn't know it yet, but He'll be using his new Over/Under for that hunt!!!:biggrin:

Cool. I also just purchased a gun for my daughter, a Rem 11-87 youth model, also bought the cantiliever scope barrel and a Nikon scope. The wife is gonna go-off when she finds out and sees the bill.:whistle: :yikes: :yikes: :tsk:

That's almost the set up I have for my son.....I took one of my Rem 1100, aded a fully rifled Cantilever barrel and Nikon prostaff scope and he has killed 2 deer so far with it.
