Dovetail mount

My old Horton has a dovetail mount. so i bought a simmons 22 scope but it aint workin. Bc when the guy was installin it for me he said that the 1 ring cant go on the 1 side bc it wouldnt fit. So now i try to sight it today it was all low. I changed the upper part of the scope and still it all shot low, i think its the mounts fault, not the scope. What should i do and u guys can discuss if u have a dovetail mount on ur xbow.

You need to get an shotgun scope or a red dot. rifle mounts are to small.

I had to purchase a dovetail adapter. 3/8 to weaver mounter dovetail adapter. $10.90 on ebay.
