I don't believe they have a good reputation and are dirty like the triple 7 primers. I think Winchester and then CCI in that order have the best reports.

i use them in my tc and the really are cleaner i feel but i never had a problem ever before with any other primers. i was told thow sight in with the same primer that you plan to hunt with because the have different pressure in each brand especially the clean bore primers

I like them, in fact I had a problem before using them with a fire/powder ring in my Thompson Encore. I would get a crust of burnt powder near the breech. After switchign no problem It seems that the traditional 209 primers actually produce enough pressure to push the load forward slightly and combine that with the pyrodex and 777 which burns really hot and there you go. I called Thompson about it and they told me to go with a 209 primer that produced a slightly lower pressure. No problems since.

For those that have a TC Encore or Pro Hunter, try switching to a .25 cal brass casing. Here is a web site where you can look into it. I had it done last year and no longer have to worry about crude rings.
http://www.prbullet.com/prohntr.htm for a pro hunter
http://www.prbullet.com/hornet.htm for Encore, Omega or CVA users. Look at the bottom of the page.
