I'm not impressed by the broadheads I've been using. EXP 100 grain 2 blade expandables and Snyper broadheads which are similar. they fly like a field point, just not doing enough damage IMO. I shoot a Horton Hunter Supreme and that's what the guy was using when I bought it off him a couple years back. anyone have suggestions on something else to try?

When I bought my hunter several years back. The fella suggested Spitfire 100. I'm not complaining.

First thing I think you need to go to 125gr 100s are a little to lite for a crossbow. Im shooting a TenPoint crossbow with G5s 125gr, I used to use 100gr well 125s the fly more true and shoot tighter pattern. another thing the cutting hole is bigger.

I use, with no complaints, Spitfire 125s. 4 shots, 4 pass throughs with my Parker xbow. I also hear only good about Rage.

Not knowing a lot about bows or arrows. I can only tell you about the experence Ive had.
Is bigger ar heavier really better? I don't know, I've only shot the 100's.
Not that I would take the shot, but I can shoot a 3" group at 50yd. with the 100's. X-bows are like 22 rifle's, Just put the cross hair's on it an squeeze the trigger. Knowing your distance is probably the hardest thing. I'm glad God created range finder's.
Were talking 175 lb. pull. I've shot the pass thru's an once shot an 8pt. going thru an breaking it's leg on the other side. It went 60yds. an dropped.
Remind's me of a rifle load. If it work's good, why would you change it.

Not sure where you heard using 125's are better. The dealer we get our stuff recomends 100 grain heads. Slicktricks or thunderheads. I used to shoot thunderhead 125's, then I switched to 100's . Have not switched back. Have not hit a deer that they did not take down..

100 grain spitfire or grim reapers do a fine job on deer.

You guys should have seen what the Reaper did to my buck on 11/7/08. I almost felt bad the carnage was that devastating, but, the suffering was nill to minimal and I'm all about good clean ethical kill shots. :coolgleamA:

If I was a kid, I could stick my fist in the entry hole, as an adult, I could have stuck my head in the exit hole but I didn't try it, and I have a damn big head.

I used to be very skeptical about mechanicals, but not no more. Their accuracy is just sick.

I don't know if I would go that far, but when wisdom speaks, those who seek knowledge should listen.

Fact is, there is some great broadheads out there and it would be hard to argue mine is better than yours, but I do know muzzy's suck cause I used to shoot them. Best fixed blade I shot were probably the Tighpoints?

lets see...., post a picture on here of me and my deer, get ridiculed over my looks, that I should have waited for a bigger deer, that my gear is garbage....that I need to lose some weigh, etc. all, that just really doesn't appeal to me. Too many negativers on here. I'd take a picture of the meat in my freezer, but I'd probably be accused of poaching it or something, and right now in my life, I just don't need that type of crap. :tsk:

I didn't necessarily mean, the damage they inflict. Yeah, any decently constructed and sharp broadhead properly placed will do the trick.

You having doubts because you shot a small buck or are you just lying out your butt? And onto the grim reapers, have you shot a deer with all broadheads? Because if not, how do you know they are the best? Shooting into cowhide and gel is not the same as hitting a shoulder blade..

1) I'm in columbus, so you smelling me is quite possible. Look out your window, do you see two big cranes? Keep watching, about once an hour, a fat guy will step out of a construction trailer in a white hard hat and look around for 5 minutes like he knows what he's doing, thats me.

2) I shot the buck in SE Ohio, which I announced earlier, so before you start flapping your chops, get your facts straight Cheech. :shhh:

Not sure if it really matters, but I use the Rage 3 blade. I have for the past two years and they are great. They leave a devestating hole on impact and exit and cut good. I took my 12point last year to have it processed and the guy said what in the world did that kind of damage, I told him..remember last years 8point..same broadhead did this as well. Neither deer traveled more than 45 yards before keeling over. Both shots were great and both heavy bleeders! I swear by the Rage..my husband on the other hand is using Slick Tricks.. said he doesn't want to get on the Rage bandwagon:mischeif: . But I will stick with them! Of course I am not a professional it is just an opinion and you know what they say about those:shhh: .

I'm very happy with Snuffer broadheads. I've had great success with the three blade, and two blade models.
