Uuuuummmmmmm, is it just me or does this weird new crossbow from Horton seem a little off. Maybe even unsafe or problematic. I can see little Johnny in the ground blind right beside dad when he goes to shoot a deer and blam........takes a limb right in the kisser?

I looked at one. I can see the benefit of slipping thru the woods easier. When you pull the trigger, you better be in front of the tree, rather then beside it. I won't have no problem with it, as there waaay out of my price range.

That's more like a sling shot gun than a crossbow.

Check one out in person at Bass Pro. This thing is freaking heavy. And turth be told, the pistol grip (with front grip) just doesnt feel right. While it may have imrpessive specs, I wouldn't buy it. I thought it was really cool until I checked it out...just didn't feel "right".

Part of the reason for reversing the limbs is to get a longer stroke. A "normal" crossbow has a stroke of about 11-13". The reverse draw has about 16". Longer stroke = greater velocity.
