Have you seen any chasing yet? If so I would say yes. Put out a scent wick and do some bleating and see if they come in.

I did a drag Friday morning and hung the wick in a small tree about waist high in the shooting lane and sat downwind from it. Had two doe pass through the scent trail, the mature one freaked and I mean freaked:yikes: and the younger on walked right up to it and gave me a perfect broadside shot

I will try the same technique next weekend one day depending on what I am seeing (different stand). It has worked for me before this time of year to get a buck to come in, not always the one I wanted but...

I think the biggest thing right now is to hunt where there are mature doe. Mature doe = mature buck. You don't really need lures to see bucks chasing doe around and if you're on the right trails they will come right past you with little caution...sometimes a grunt will stop them or a strategically placed scent wick :mischeif: :D

We used scents over the weekend. We had code blue estrus scent. No luck with it, the bucks we saw walked right past it but I'd still use it, can't hurt at this point I don't think.
