I got a little secret about scrapes and scents to use in mock scrapes placed adjacent to real scrapes....BUT due to an impending patent...I can't share that information at this time. :shhh:

This question is important - if you want to use the correct scents "in" the dirt of a scrape. However, I am not saying you can't use other scents in a scrape.

Whitetail bucks paw the ground, using several strokes with first one front hoof, and then the other, then they often step foward, crouch a bit with their hind legs close together, and rub-urinate over the tarsal gland on the inside of the leg, leaving behind interdigital scent from between the hooves of each hoof, and urine, testosterone and tarsal scent in the scrape.

They may also defecate in or near the scrape.

Does have been known to sniff, walk through and urinate near scrapes.

May Yahweh-God bless you and your families in these times of need,
