I just ordered a Horton Reatree 175# with scope from Basspro. Went there Sunday to purchase one but they only had one left and it had the 3 dot scope on it. Which I didn't care for. Was wondering if any of you folks have this bow and your opinion of it. Also is the scope very difficult to zero in. Thanks

About a month and a half ago I purchased this same bow and it is fast and awesome. Mine came with the 3 dot red dot scope and I have to say I like it alot more than I thought I would! You will be happy with this bow no matter what u get on top of it!! If u get this and have any questions feel free to pm me and let me know what u think of it!!:)

I have had mine since last spring and I love it. I shot a doe at 48 yards pls I was 16 feet up and she was 15 feet in ravine. That would make it 50 some yards. Fast and accurate. Heavy for long carry though. I would get the additional sound stoppers for the limbs and it would be real quiet as well. I practice at 43 yards due to shooting into hay fields.

Well the bow was delivered thursday and I put it together later that night. Only problem with assembly was getting the serving all the way over pin on the end of the stock. Took a block of wood and a couple hits from a hammer and she went together. Hope this is not a issue later if I need to take it apart. I am off on fridays so went to range today. Took the new bow plus my old Horton EXP that I have owned for 19 years. The EXP at the time I bought it was like the cadilac of crossbows.
First impressions compared to the EXP was how much heavier it felt, also about twice the effort to pullback and cock it. The scope was clear and really opened my veiw as I was use to using peep sight and pin on the Exp. I zeroed it in at 20 yards having to adjust the elevation once and having it at the number 2 setting on the dial a range. Setting was also good at 25 yards and went to setting number 3 at 30. 30 yards was as far as I tried today but can tell the power is there if you practised at longer ranges.
Bottom line I am real impressed with bow. With all the years of trouble free service I had out of the EXP. I can only hope the Realtree 175 can do the same.
