Question about high winds. If it's blowing 20+ mph is it worth hunting?

The wife and I hunted tonight for about 2 hours in the wind. Saw 5 deer in the stand and three more walking out. I think is all about your stand placement when there is heavy winds. In my experience, you wanna be someplace where the deer can get out of the wind (overlooking a holler), or some place where they can see a good distance, using their eyes instead of ears/nose for protection. We hunted a grown up field tonight, and it worked out well. That's just my experience though, I'm a youngin', so take it as you choose... :D

If you are referring to duck hunting then yes it is very worth it! This is a great storm front for birds to come on and just before. This storm is comnig from the north west, probably the best conditions for us to get new birds that there is!

I shot 2 geese today but didnt see a single duck. Also had more than a few flocks fly by.Or should i say try to fly by.it was funny watching them cause you could tell they couldnt fly where they wanted too.best they could do was quarting into the wind.So i would say windy days are good to hunt.

There are geese everywhere now, this cold front really helped bring them down.
