I would think I would have known better but I was dealing with a good salesman and had a buddy { CP only shooter } talk me into trying carbon. I have an older Nitro Hunter which is a great shooter. The carbons were very inaccurate. 6" groups at best at 30yd. Welp, I picked up some alum. arrows today. These are definitely the correct arrow for my outfit. Never shooting over 30yd. before, I set up 40 an 50 yd. targets. I was getting 3" groups at 50yd. COOL! Just for shits an giggles, I'm going to see what it will do at 60 an 70yd.
Lesson learned again. Never change your loads, no matter what you are shootin.
I have a bud who has 2 doz. new 2117's an is willing to give them to me., Anyone know where I can get some Horton noc's?

Thanks guy's. Went to Shelby yesterday for a new range finder. They had the nocks there for 15 cents a piece.
Went to buy the 900 Leica, 525. I wasn't real happy with there guarentee for the money. Ended up with the latest model Bushnell Scout. 2 bucks after rebate. Hot seller, bought there last one. I'm sure they will have more soon.

I've used Carbon shafts the last 3 years. I get custom 17" bolts made up at Lancaster Archery for my Vixen, 19" for Exomag. Both off of Gold Tip 75/95 Expedition shafts.
I've been using the Blaser vanes the last 2 years as I've found the to be extremly tuff in foam targets. They fly as well as a 5" vane for me.

I shoot a Horton Hunter XS 200 and i too find that alums shoot a little nicer than carbons for some reason. from 35 yds my groups improve from 5 inches with carbons to nearly 2 inches with the aluminums. The carbons shoot nicer than the alums outta my dads bow (hunter legend) though, so who knows? :irked:
