Just bough two mojo ducks and some supplies for a jerk line. I can't wait, probably won't sleep the night before.

MaS19 what kind of ammo did you buy?I was thinking of trying out some black cloud #2 for duck and goose.I usually use winchester #2 or BB from walmart cause its cheap.Would really like to try some hevi shot but i cant bring myself to pay that much.

Kent 3 1/2" 1 9/16oz 2's

Havent duck hunted before but that load patterned really nice at 40yds so im going with it haha.


For goose i shoot 3 1/2" Hevishot Duck B's 1500fps


Also, i hunted 13 days durning early goose. I shot tons of different ammo. Xpert, Kent, Hevi shot, etc.
I like the kent because its a great shell at a great price, 16.99 a box for 3.5's and 12.99 for 3". The issue i had with the kent was to many birds being "crippled."
I dont have a problem killing animals as i want the meat, but i also dont want to see them suffer. So i got me a box of hevishot b's. Every bird shot with it was instantly dead. Not 1 bird with even the least bit of life left in him. I have shot 13 shells of hevi shot, and kill 10 birds with it.

I have tons of different ammo from patternig and such so im gonna use it all up before i get more, but i will get a case of hevishot once its gone.

Just watch how close your shooting. :) Either of those rounds on a teal or woody @ 25 yards will be ground meat! :D

just saw 17 wood ducks on one of the ponds i hunt

I saw 6 woodies on a pond i hunt tonight along with about 300 geese hitting a winter wheat field that i hunt.There is another pond i hunt that has a flock of about 20 or 30 woodies that call it home along with a flock of teal and a big flock of geese.only problem is that during the early season the woodies and teal wouldnt come in till after shooting hours.hope they decide to show up during shooting hours for the regular season.

seems like geese are every where,,and I have never seen this many Mallards and Pintails here this early...have not seen very many Teal,,wood ducks are every where also,,,

2 day ago i had 200 geese and a big flock of mallards come in the pond i hunt when i was in my deer stand
