St. Croix Pro Graphite

I just bought a St Croix PF865 8'6" 5wt. for my trip out west...does anyone on here have one? or used one before. It seems like a nice rod but i wont really have a chance to use it until i am on the river.
I am just getting back into the sport and made the mistake of going with a cheaper rod....a Pflueger...I got some bass and blugills with it on my honeymoon 2 weeks ago but i looked at it yesterday as i was packing it up and saw that the glass was crumbling at the tip of the lower half....there is no insert to offer it support.
So i went with St Croix and spent what i could afford.
If there is anyone thats familiar with that model....please give me a review.

I don't have it in that size but I bought one that size for a gift. It's a nice rod for the money. I think you should be pretty happy with it.
