They released them at Swanton at about 10:30 am yesterday (Thurs). I was there 11-2, along with maybe 20-25 other anglers. Saw three trout taken the whole time. Not sure why they weren't biting, but you could see them all over the place. Had a few light hits on spinners, but only one good hit, and he jumped and threw the hook as I got him close.
Checked it out again the morning for 90 minutes, and the parking lot was full--still looked like most guys were getting skunked. Saw two trout taken in 90 minutes this morning. Some of the old timers were clearly frustrated: "This is a joke!" I heard some saying the other release spots were doing better. Maybe they just need a day or two to get acclimated to the water.
Guys are fishing crank bait, spinners, corn, power bait, etc.
