Just heard that USC, the same team that crushed OSU a week before lost to the Beavers of Oregon or Oregon State who were unranked. The score was 27-21, but it was 21 nothing at half time. Wonder how far they will drop, probably to number 5:mischeif: .

Probably will drop to 7 or 8 depending on what happens with the Georgia/Bama game.

I agree, prolly like 7th or 8th but I think they should drop a lot farther. Ohio state dropped to like 13 after being beat by the number one team in the nation, and they were beat by a team that isn't even ranked!!!!!

Ohio State was ranked 5th i think after the loss to USC... it wasn't till the next week when they had a rough time beating Troy they dropped to 13

The Buckeyes dropped out of the top 10 for losing badly to the #1 team in the country on the road...USC lost to a bad, unranked team on the road while ranked #1. In my opinion, they should be ranked one spot ahead of OSU, which if the Buckeyes beat Minnesota this weekend, would put USC around #9 or #10, roughly.

That is huge for PSU. Not only did that make their Oregon St CRUSHING win look good, it opens the door for them to sneak into the national title picture if they run the table. I have admittedly not seen a whole lot of them...are they for real? How about this new QB, Clark?

In your opinion was that too drastic of a drop at the time, that early in the season?
I agree with you on USC should only be one spot above the Buckeyes. The Buckeyes in no way played like a championship team that night but the refs made the beating look much worse imo.
Tressell plays to win his conference, beat Michigan and let the cards fall where they may imo. Whatever his formula is, he has lead OSU to a National Championship and two more BCS title games. USC this year was a real test and the team didn't compete. It was a gutsy move to schedule this game. Think USC will visit the horseshoe anytime soon?
It certainly looks like PSU is for real. They are playing well. We'll see how their QB holds up to the Big Ten schedule. But I still think OSU wins the Big Ten and if they run the table and Jupiter aligns with Mars, they have a shot at another BCS title game. It's an outside chance but it is possible...

Penn State has 3 great recievers... that helps out the QB situation.. it's pick your poison... If PSU runs the table there is no reason they won't be in the BCS championship game.. they are for real ... but anything can happen on Saturday... go JoePa

USC to an unranked team...that was interesting.....
PSU is looking good...Wisconsin is on the hot seat, and they will have all the guns loaded for this one......it's a must win for them to stay in the race.....Penn wins...Wisconsin is most likely out of it!
