High muddy water? = fish

I`m A first year steelhead student. What kind of success have you veterans of steelhead fishing had in in high muddy water?

I only flyfish so muddy water is usually pretty bad for me. I usually need at least a little clarity. Some of the feeders should start clearing tomorrow but the bigger stuff won't be fishable till probably late Saturday or Sunday and the Grand sometime around Christmas if it doesn't rain anymore.
