PSU looks good to me, but I'm not sold until I see them play somebody. Sp far they have dominated "mother mary school of the blind" type teams. Still good to see and they have the look of a good team, but I'll wait and see how they handle some of the teams in the league before I think they won't lose at least 3 games as they do most every year.

I agree, I need to see them beat somebody of importance before I am sold on them as a contender. We'll find out soon, because I think their first Big Ten game is against Illinois. They are certainly playing good football right now, but I need to see it against a good opponent.

Now were talking......finally getting everyone in on football!!!

Absolutely playing better this early then in the past!!! They are soundly beating teams, early and often. The tougher part of their schedule will just indicate "How good" they really are.

Great Job by Joe and his staff!

Like everyone else, their playing teams that don't really compete, but every Major team does...how do you think these small programs make the extra $$$$

You have to play the weaker teams. It is what you do to prepare yourself for the Big 10.

How the heck did Ryan Clark ever get out of OHIO, he's the real deal, he can run and pass.... why didn't OSU go after him as hard as the PA boy they thieved from us.. it's taking alot of time for ole' JOE to get used to this type of QB again, he hates in his heart this new type of football, he'd much rather be traditional but he let the young coaches get their way.. heck, he watched the second half from the press box and it didn't make any difference...enjoy him, it's almost over, the ole dinosaur is almost finished..

PSU is reminding me a lot of the Michael Robinson PSU team that won the Big Ten and beat FSU in a BCS game a few years back. Darryl Clark looked very good against Illinois. I see something in PSU's offensive plays that I don't see from OSU....IMAGINATION. :nono:

I watched the game and so far so good for PSU. I'll say to this point they look to be the front runner. Not that I was not impressed, but Illinois has played terrible defense all year. I'm not ready to jump onto the band wagon just yet as I think they will have a much tougher time scoring on some other league teams. I am also concerned at how easily Ill moved the ball on them at times. PSU looks good, but not dominating IMO. I still see a loss or two in league play.

TELL me the history of this Clark kid... He's been here for two years and has been as quiet as a church mouse.. how did the BUCKEYE's pass him by 4 years ago.. he has been granted another year of eligability for next season..he should be really ready to go then, but he'll need to replace alot. HOW would have thought that this old goat could adapt to a new world and he as replace, tossed, disciplined the entire defensive line, six altogether since some street fights late last spring, one things for sure, JOE PA is in charge, period.. he is hated by many, but loved by far more, his old old school values are still intact...however he does adapt to change.. who would have thunk it possible in this day and age.. and one other thing, he is faithful to his recuits, you agree to come here, you'll play no matter who is behind you, could you imagine how could this OHIO kid could have been if he just didn't watch the other kids for the last three years !!! STUNNING LOYALTY !

I'll still stick with the Buckeyes, Illinois has a good offense, but was suspect on defense, and Penn state proved it. But and it's a big but, they play us in Columbus, and I think they play Wisc at Camp Randel. The team that's starting to worry me is MSU.

I was thinking the same thing about MSU, but then they struggled for most of the game with Indiana. Keep in mind, a week earlier, Ball St had their way with Indiana. I know a new week brings a new game, but I'm still not sold that Michigan St is into the upper echelon of the Big Ten. They are going to have to knock off Michigan (yes, Michigan), Wisconsin, Penn St, Illinois, or any combination of those teams to get my full and undivided attention.

Yep, winner of this game most likely wins the Big Ten, and if PSU wins, they have a great shot at going unbeaten.

If Penn St beats us and goes undefeated, I can swallow the loss with no problem as I kinda like PSU. We still might get an at large BCS bid.

But, for some reason, I think we will beat them. 31-26

You guys hear about Brian Robiskie being suspended for the game?

Me neither.
