You may not see Wells until 2009.
If he is lucky, we may see him for the last game or two and the bowl game.
He is a great player and easily our best blocker and runner, but we don't need him. Unfortunately most of game planning was built around him in pre-season and that is part of the reason for all the problems you are seeing.
Hopefully a lesson learned by the staff.

I would rather him sit out than risk hurting himself worse by playing too soon. There is going to be no national title run this year, I think that is clear. The backups are more than capable of carrying the load, but that doesn't mean I am not nervous about even the Troy game now. They have some athletes, and are probably a better team than Ohio U...and we saw how that went. I think without Beanie in the lineup we may see more of Mr. Pryor, too.

Boom Herron made some head way during the USC game in the first half, but we didn't stick to what was being successful. I hope we get away from RB by committee, Herron > Saine > Wells (Maurice). Give the younger guys(Herron and Saine) the reps and let Wells (thanks for your service) return some kickoffs. A stiff breeze can tackle Mo Wells for a loss.

I see all is "well"...somewhat...no pun intended!!!
Wells may or may not play anymore this year...which may force him to come back next year:biggrin: ...not a bad thing, but it may happen.
On another note!!!
GO BUCKS!!

I don't even think it takes a stiff breeze to tackle Mo Wells. He is fine as long as he doesn't get touched by defenders...that's probably not a good thing for a RB. :dizzy:
I'm not sure Beanie would come back, even if he misses the whole year. He would drop in the draft, but I bet it would be similar to Willis McGahee a few years ago. Didn't he still go 2nd round? But he's making money and is a starting RB in the NFL.

Yes he is doing well, but beenie may want more....not sure how much more.
Time will tell, if he gets a fair part of the year in, he may still go.......who knows. He's still a high draft choice any way you look at it....dollars may play a role.

Turf toe has never been stated by the OSU staff. People speculate, but that's it.

they did look pretty good yesterday.
1 big thing i did notice was that the defense played alot better than they have so far.
the announcers made alot out of the big hit that pryor put on the minn. defender as they were going out of bounds.looked to me like pryor just gave the guy what he was trying him!
beanie looked real good too.
there were some good games in the big 10 yesterday as well.
wisconsin and michigan looked like they traded uniforms at halftime.
penn state looks VERY good!
with all of the upsets this week the polls will surely look alot different when they come out!!!
i'm outta here until the weekend.taking the boat up to vermillion to go perching for 5 or 6 days.
