I use this website all the time to gain info on soils at any given location. I figure it might help some of you guys out who are planting your own food plots.
Just go to the link: http://websoilsurvey.nrcs.usda.gov/app/
Click the green WSS button on the front page
Zoom in on the map to your specific area (as close up as you need)
Use the AOI square tool to define your area of interest
Click on the Soil Map tab (2nd of 4 tabs across the top of the frame)
You soil samples will be laid out for you and are usually pretty accurate. Hope you guys can use this, I know I use it all the time.
