Definitely could use some nutrients....maybe you can re-seed in the spring.....

I thought they looked pretty good for only being in the ground for 10 days. Plus, we had very little rain. Back in the spring I put down around 500-700 pds of lime and I also broadcasted 120 pds of 10-10-10 at time of planting. The area of my farm is very wooded with no crop fields around. None of my neighbors on my side of the road have food plots so I am hoping even if I don't get full potential it will still draw some deer.

At the time the pics were taken the seed had been in the ground for about 10days, give or take a day or two. I can't remember exactly what day I got them in. We had a brief shower and that was about it. I really wasn't even expecting germination, but I was surprised at the new growth. The plot is on a gasline right-a-way that runs through the N. end of my property. It stays somewhat shaded, but gets filtered light throughout the day. Ideally, labor day would be the time to plant this mix, but since the plot stays somewhat shaded, I was told to put it in a week or two early to allow for more growth. I'm going down Saturday, I'm looking forward to seeing how it does. We're suppose to get rain this week. I jumped two deer off the plot the day I went in and took these pics, so some found it.
